Model Cell Operator 3rd Shift (12pm – 8am Monday – Friday) $26.00/hr. + $1.00/hr. Shift Differential

About the role

We are seeking a 3rd Shift Model Cell Operator based in New Bedford, MA. Reporting to the Supervisor, this role involves operating a set of machines, including setup, operation, inspection, and adjustment of large machinery. Additional responsibilities include performing simple or routine setups, operating computer consoles, using measurement instruments, completing paperwork, and maintaining a clean work area.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend production Standard Work, safety procedures, and Maintenance instructions.
• Operate and observe machinery during production.
• Identify acceptable or unacceptable product quality based on customer requirements and quality standards.
• Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and site goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
• Meet physical requirements, including standing, sitting, walking, lifting, pulling, or pushing at least 50 lbs.
• Basic skills to maintain safe operation as required by job tasks.
• Keep working area neat and orderly.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Dependability, good attendance, and strong work ethic.

Pay

As of the date of this posting, the estimated pay for this position is $26.00 per hour. Placement in the range depends on competencies, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business needs. Other compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and incentives.
