About the role
The Motor Unit Client Support Specialist position is a fast-paced role requiring significant public contact. This role is part of the Mobile Unit team based at the Springfield DMV office, which includes staffing satellite branch offices in Dummerston and White River Jct.
Responsibilities
- Review, verify, code, and process applications for motor vehicle registrations, driver licenses, and identification cards.
- Process large sums of money and provide excellent customer service.
- Work independently and make informed decisions.
- Multi-task and prioritize unpredictable workloads.
- Handle confused, frustrated, and upset customers.
- Travel to other offices as needed to assist during staffing shortages.
Requirements
- Three (3) or more years of office administrative experience with significant public contact.
- One (1) or more years of experience with the Vermont DMV.
- A current, valid driver's license.
- Vision correctable to 20/40 (Snellen test) in both eyes, with normal color perception and field of vision.
Qualifications
- Attention to detail is critical.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Experience with motor vehicle departments preferred.
Skills
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in multiple job duties.

Pay
Total compensation includes a competitive salary and a range of benefits valued at about 30% of your total compensation.
Schedule
The position is full-time, Monday through Thursday, 6:45am-5:15pm, with some overtime required.
