Mobile Technician
About the role
Atlas Copco is looking for a TMC Mobile Technician to coordinate the activities at our Tool Management Centers (TMC) across multiple customer locations. As a TMC Mobile Technician, you will support all aspects of the TMC, including setup, diagnosis, and configuration of tooling, maintaining the preventative maintenance and calibration schedule of the tooling population, managing logistics for shipping tools in and out of the customer’s facility, and working directly with onsite employees and the customer.
You will collaborate as part of a team to accomplish tasks, deliver training to team members, and support the overall TMC atmosphere. This role reports to the Regional Team Leader and provides support across all TMC locations within the region as business needs require. The position supports a wide range of customer sites and requires flexibility to travel and engage across multiple locations. Desired candidate locations are MI and GA.
Responsibilities
- Support all aspects of the TMC, including setup, diagnosis, and configuration of tooling.
- Maintain the preventative maintenance and calibration schedule for the tooling population.
- Manage logistics for shipping tools in and out of customer facilities.
- Work directly with onsite employees and customers to address needs and provide solutions.
- Deliver training to team members and support the overall TMC atmosphere.
- Travel regionally and nationally to support multiple customer locations as required.
Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 60% locally and 40% nationally (regionally dependent).
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule.
- Preferred 2 years’ experience in a production environment working with manufacturing automation, assembly tooling, or data collection systems.
- Interest and passion for furthering knowledge of industrial tooling.
- Proficiency in computer systems, such as MS Office, and networking/database experience.
- At least 2-3 years of experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer service experience and ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
