Mobile Surgery Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all mobile spay-neuter clinic activities to ensure safe, efficient, high-volume workflow.
  • Cook up daily mobile unit schedules, staff assignments, and travel routes.
  • Ensure adherence to HQHVSN protocols.
  • Set up and break down mobile clinic equipment; maintain organized, safe workspaces.
  • Maintain patient flow from check-in through recovery and discharge.
  • Troubleshoot on-site challenges, equipment issues, and environmental constraints.
  • Manage community vaccine clinic operations (mobile and stationary).
  • Ensure proper vaccine handling, storage, and documentation.
  • Supervise client flow and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Cook up coordination with medical staff to ensure safe administration of vaccines, microchips, and preventatives.
  • Develop weekly and monthly mobile clinic schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records for surgeries, vaccines, microchips, and medical logs.
  • Support outreach events and partner collaborations.
  • Collect payments and manage compliance paperwork.
  • Track and order medical supplies, drugs, and equipment.
  • Maintain DEA-compliant logs when applicable.
  • Cook up routine maintenance of mobile units and medical equipment.
  • Ensure all medical spaces meet cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Enforce OSHA, state veterinary board, and internal medical protocols.
  • Ensure safe animal handling practices.
  • Participate in quality control and safety audits.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients and partner organizations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist with forms and instructions.
  • Maintain professionalism in diverse onsite environments.

Qualifications

  • Experience in veterinary or animal welfare fields.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to safely handle animals of all sizes and temperaments.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Veterinary technician experience (preferred).
  • HQHVSN experience (preferred).
  • Experience operating large vehicles (preferred).
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) (preferred).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in mobile environments.
  • Comfortable handling surgical instruments, animals, and biohazards.

Work Schedule

Full-time position with some early mornings and occasional weekends.
