Mobile Reefer Mechanic II

About the role

Cox Fleet is seeking a Reefer Trailer Technician II to support our growing fleet maintenance services. This position requires a strong background in refrigerated equipment and trailer repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform certified DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on ThermoKing, Carrier, and other refrigeration equipment.
• Inspect and repair Freightliner and Mack Trucks, trailers, and other equipment.
• Diagnose and replace compressors, coils, electrical components, and other parts.
• Manage parts inventory and perform safety checks on company-issued service vehicles.
• Respond to unscheduled service requests and document repairs using company-issued iOS devices.
• Communicate with clients and customers to resolve issues and provide assistance.
• Participate in safety training and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification.
• Knowledge of trailer parts and systems, including their repair and maintenance.

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of trailer parts and systems, including their repair and maintenance.
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to accurately judge distances and communicate information clearly.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.

Pay

USD 26.73 - 40.10 per hour. The hourly base rate may vary based on location and qualifications.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with some weekend work as needed.
