Role Accountabilities
- Physically locate, input, update, inspect and maintain GIS databases, layers, tables and links within the geospatial relational database.
- Perform mobile GIS/GPS location work in the field, mapping stormwater systems and recording the relevant attributes using high-precision Trimble GPS mapping equipment and ESRIs Field Maps app to collect and manage digital data on an iPhone, Android or tablet device.
- Work outdoors daily, maneuvering amongst biological hazards, rough\uneven terrain, steep hillsides, creeks, remote areas, and heavily traveled roadways, commercial, secured, and residential properties.
- Must feel comfortable working alone and in challenging environments.

- Health and Safety conscious work ethic and follows field protocols.
- Field work is very labor intensive at times and requires critical inspection data entry protocols to be followed and adhered by daily.
- Physically fit, nimble, enjoys working outdoors, can endure long days and physically capable of heavy lifting items such as storm sewer and manhole covers daily.
- Able to leverage > 50 lbs and use a machete or similar brush clearing devices.
- Able to maneuver amongst rough terrain, steep hillsides, creeks, riparian areas and busy roadway networks.
- Basic knowledge and work experience using GPS receivers, ESRI products (Field Maps – Arc Collector, tape measure, disto-meter).
- Able to travel up to 50% of the time statewide and work extended hours in various weather elements in the field to meet desired daily production standards and protocols.
- Valid driver’s license with clean MVR report
Qualifications & Experience
- A college degree in Geography or related field is desirable but not required.
- High school graduation and or trade school diploma.
