GIS Mapping Specialist
About the role
EBI Consulting is seeking a skilled GIS Mapping Specialist to join our team and support the creation, analysis, and management of geospatial data and mapping solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage Geographic Information System (GIS) tools, ArcGIS, and methodologies to produce high-quality spatial data and maps in support of business operations projects. This position reports directly to the Manager of GIS Services and can be either remote or hybrid, depending on location and proximity to our Burlington, MA corporate headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Create, design, and produce high-quality maps and reports for business operations, customer projects, and internal requests.
- Analyze spatial and non-spatial data to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver required map requests in a prioritized and timely manner.
- Use GIS software (e.g., Esri ArcGIS Pro) to perform data editing, geoprocessing, and spatial analysis.
- Collect and integrate data from various sources, including satellite imagery, GPS, government sources, and field data.
- Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot GIS software and data issues, providing technical support as needed.
- Manage the mapping request intake queue from request to closure.
- Stay updated on advancements in GIS technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve workflows.
- Create and update Experience Builder applications in Portal for ArcGIS Enterprise.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in geography, GIS, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of professional experience with GIS technologies.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Desktop, web services, and spatial data editing.
- Familiarity with Python, Java, and/or AI-aided custom tool creation.
- Attention to detail with above-average quantitative and analytical skills.
A GIS or related certificate from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Pay
The reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position is $60,000–$75,000. The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary across applicable U.S. locations. This position may also be eligible for a bonus, whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual performance. The actual compensation offered will be based on factors including geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and budget.
