GIS Specialist

Responsibilities

• Aid in the development and maintenance of GIS databases for utility management and other infrastructure projects using ArcGIS Pro.
• Contribute to the design and development of GIS database schemas.
• Create and launch public-facing Esri ArcGIS Experience Builder apps and ArcGIS StoryMaps.
• Utilize ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online to support various project needs.
• Participate in project meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Represent the firm professionally in interactions with internal teams, clients, and the public.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Planning, or a related field, with a focus on GIS.
• Strong experience with Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
• Proven ability to build and launch ArcGIS Experience Builder apps and ArcGIS StoryMaps.
• Understanding of urban planning principles, zoning, and community development.
• Experience creating map products with an understanding of basic cartographic principles.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Preferred qualifications include one or more years of GIS experience, exposure to Python and/or Arcade scripting, and local candidate preference.

Skills

• Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.

• Python and Arcade scripting knowledge (preferred).
