About the role
The role owns the end-to-end development, performance, and reliability of native mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms, reaching hundreds of thousands of active users daily. The engineering team builds responsive, fluid user interfaces and robust offline-first data architectures that bridge complex backend services with seamless mobile experiences.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain high-performance native mobile applications using Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, or Java
- Design modular, reusable UI components adhering to Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design standards
- Integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and real-time WebSockets with local caching layers for optimal offline functionality
- Profile and optimize application performance, focusing on memory footprint, CPU utilization, battery efficiency, and frame rate consistency
- Write comprehensive unit, integration, and UI tests using XCTest, Espresso, or Appium to maintain rigorous code quality
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to define technical specs and deliver features on schedule
Requirements
- 3–6 years of professional software development experience with at least 3 years dedicated to native iOS or Android engineering
- Deep mastery of Swift/SwiftUI or Kotlin/Jetpack Compose and modern mobile architectural patterns like MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture
- Demonstrated track record of shipping and maintaining production applications available in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
- Solid understanding of concurrency, asynchronous programming, memory management, and network security protocols on mobile platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Skills
- Experience with cross-platform frameworks like React Native or Flutter (bonus)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile (bonus)
- Contributions to open-source mobile libraries (bonus)
