Mobile Engineer (iOS / Android)

About The Role

The role focuses on building and scaling native mobile experiences for both iOS and Android platforms, ensuring high-performance user interfaces and robust offline capabilities. The engineer will collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineering teams to deliver seamless features that operate reliably across a diverse ecosystem of mobile devices. This position requires a deep technical understanding of mobile architectures, memory management, and network optimization. The engineer will have the opportunity to influence the mobile roadmap, drive modern development practices, and establish robust testing patterns to maintain high crash-free rates for millions of active users.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality native mobile applications using Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android
• Architect and implement scalable, maintainable mobile features using modern design patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, or VIPER
• Optimize application performance, profiling memory usage, rendering latency, and battery consumption to ensure a smooth user experience
• Integrate RESTful APIs and WebSocket connections, managing complex local data persistence using Room, CoreData, or SQLite
• Collaborate with backend teams to define contract schemas and influence API design for optimal mobile consumption
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, build distribution, and App Store / Google Play Store releases

What We Are Looking For

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience specializing in native mobile development (iOS, Android, or both)
• Strong proficiency in Swift/Objective-C or Kotlin/Java, with a deep understanding of platform-specific SDKs and guidelines
• Experience with mobile reactive programming frameworks such as Combine, RxSwift, or Coroutines/Flow
• Solid understanding of mobile security best practices, including secure storage, keychain management, and SSL pinning
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Bonus: Experience with cross-platform frameworks like Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), React Native, or Flutter; or active contributions to open-source mobile libraries
