Mobile Engineer (iOS / Android)

About the role

The role owns the end-to-end development, performance, and scaling of native mobile applications for iOS and Android, serving millions of active users daily. The engineering team builds highly responsive, reliable, and accessible user experiences, working closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define the future of the mobile platform.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain high-performance native mobile applications using Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin, and Jetpack Compose
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design robust, efficient, and secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs tailored for mobile consumption
• Optimize application performance, memory management, battery consumption, and rendering latency across a wide fragmentation of devices
• Implement comprehensive automated unit, integration, and UI testing suites to ensure absolute reliability prior to production releases
• Manage app store deployment pipelines, code signing, provisioning profiles, and rapid hotfix deployments using CI/CD tools like Bitrise or GitHub Actions
• Participate in rigorous code reviews, mentor junior mobile developers, and drive architectural standards across the engineering organization

Requirements

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on native iOS and/or Android development
• Demonstrated mastery of Swift/SwiftUI or Kotlin/Jetpack Compose, with at least two production-grade applications shipped to the App Store or Google Play
• Deep understanding of mobile architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture, along with reactive programming concepts
• Solid experience integrating third-party SDKs, analytics tracking, push notifications, and secure local storage mechanisms
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical industry experience

Skills

• Bonus: Experience with cross-platform frameworks like React Native or Flutter, background in mobile security protocols, or contributions to open-source mobile libraries
