Mobile Engineer 4 - Android (Remote-Eligible)

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Mobile Engineer 4 - Android (Remote-Eligible) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will focus on advancing a large-scale mobile experience for a broad customer base, with an emphasis on Android engineering, architecture, and scalable design. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features while strengthening performance, accessibility, and code reuse across the platform. The position also includes technical leadership responsibilities, mentoring engineers, and helping drive adoption of modern development practices, including AI-enabled tools.

Location

Remote — US-based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available.

Pay

$179,400 – $204,700 annually.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver features for a large customer base
• Provide technical leadership on mobile architecture and design patterns
• Mentor engineers to foster growth and provide feedback
• Grow expertise in mobile platform areas like performance and accessibility
• Contribute to mobile architecture decisions and reusable component development
• Lead backend-for-frontends (BFFs) and server-driven UI (SDUI) architectures
• Champion the adoption of AI tools and mentor engineers in their use

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience building native mobile applications (Android or iOS)
• Proven experience with modern mobile UI frameworks
• Experience building automated testing suites for mobile applications
