About the role

As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician, you'll be the expert our customers rely on to keep their fleets on the road. This field-based role is perfect for skilled technicians who enjoy independence and variety in their work.

Responsibilities

Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow up repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment. Handle emergency road service calls with confidence and urgency. Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance. Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems - everything that keeps a fleet running strong. Use advanced diagnostic tools, including handheld computers and precision instruments, to identify and fix issues fast. Put your expertise to work using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to get the job done right. Road test vehicles to ensure every repair meets top-quality standards. Stay productive and efficient, meeting or beating industry-standard repair times. Work with trusted vendors to source parts and keep operations moving. Take ownership of a company-issued service truck, perform maintenance and pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensuring safety compliance. Jump in wherever needed - we're a team that supports each other.

Requirements

At least 3 years of hands-on diesel tech experience working on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers. DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise that keeps fleets rolling safely. Strong communication skills - you know how to connect and communicate with customers and drivers alike. Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools to stay organized and document repairs. Ready for the outdoors - rain or shine at customer yards. Independent, dependable, and self-motivated - you take pride in getting the job done right. A positive attitude and safety-first mindset. Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. Must be able to lift, move, and position heavy equipment or components. Must be able to work in dynamic, high-traffic areas. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
