Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites using a company-provided service vehicle.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel-powered pump equipment and related mechanical systems.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) services to maximize equipment reliability.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Inspect equipment and identify potential issues before failures occur.
  • Complete service reports, work orders, and required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain inventory of service parts, tools, and supplies in the company vehicle.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment condition, repair recommendations, and maintenance needs.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Keep the company service vehicle clean, organized, and properly maintained.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of diesel technician, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, or automotive technician experience required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proven diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience working on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, pumps, or industrial equipment is highly preferred.
  • Automotive technicians with strong diagnostic experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to work independently in the field without direct supervision.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic computer or tablet skills for completing service documentation.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Must meet and maintain company driving requirements to operate a company service vehicle.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel locally throughout the assigned service area.
  • Availability for occasional overtime and emergency after-hours service calls as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience servicing industrial pumps or pump systems.
  • Diesel engine certifications (ASE, OEM, or equivalent).
  • Hydraulic and electrical diagnostic experience.
  • CDL is a plus but not required.
