Entry-Level Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician (1997)
About the role
As an Entry-Level Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician, you'll be the expert our customers rely on to keep their fleets on the road. This field-based role is perfect for entry-level technicians or recent tech school grads who are looking for an opportunity to launch their career and expand their skill set.
Responsibilities
- Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and light follow up repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment.
- Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to get the job done right.
- Stay productive and efficient, meeting or beating industry-standard repair times.
- Work with trusted vendors to source parts and keep operations moving.
- Take ownership of a company-issued service truck, perform maintenance and pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure safety compliance.
- Jump in wherever needed - we're a team that supports each other.
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of hands-on diesel tech experience working on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
- DOT inspection and preventative maintenance expertise that keeps fleets rolling safely.
- Strong communication skills - you know how to connect and communicate with customers and drivers alike.
- Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools to stay organized and document repairs.
- Ready for the outdoors - rain or shine at customer yards.
- Independent, dependable, and self-motivated - you take pride in getting the job done right.
- A positive attitude and safety-first mindset.
- Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
Qualifications
- Must have your own hand tools.
- Company will supply everything else.
- Work in dynamic, high-traffic areas - safety and precision are key.
- Expect exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise typical of a shop or yard environment.
- Safely handle chemicals, oils, and grease as part of repair work.
- Be ready to lift, move, and position heavy equipment or components.
- Stay active - you'll bend, kneel, crawl, and crouch to access vehicle components.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions - rain or shine, our team gets it done.

Schedule
- Tuesday - Saturday 8:00PM-6:00AM
- Sunday - Thursday 8:00PM - 6:00AM
