About the role

The Springfield Public Schools is seeking a MLL Elementary Paraprofessional to join their team. This position is funded through Title III and is located at Benjamin Swan ES.

Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in all classroom activities.
  • Aid in the thematic planning approach.
  • Support the implementation of the WIDA standards for English language development.
  • Select and develop materials for the program.
  • Perform breakfast and lunch duties.
  • Assist with afternoon bus duties.

  • A high-school diploma or GED.
  • Sixty (60) Credit Hours of College Coursework or an Associate’s Degree, or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment or WorkKeys Certificate of Proficiency for Teacher Assistants.
  • A current authorization to work in the United States.
  • A passing score on the Work Keys Exams in Reading: 5, Math: 4, and Writing: 3.
