ML Summer School Program ESL Elementary Teachers
About the role
The ML Summer School Program is seeking ESL Elementary Teachers to join the Springfield Public Schools team. The positions are funded by Title III and will be located at Lincoln Elementary School.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to the ML Director and ML Program Coordinator.
- Daily lesson planning using a thematic planning approach.
- Implement the ESL program according to WIDA standards for English language development.
- Administer pre- and post-program assessments.
- Prepare bi-weekly reports for students in their classes.
- Keep attendance records of students.
- Supervise breakfast and lunch duty in the cafeteria with assigned class.
- Supervise afternoon bus duty.
Qualifications
- Currently employed as a certified teacher of Elementary ESL/SEI in Springfield Public Schools.
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents.
- Committed to delivering high-quality instruction and adhering to rigorous curriculum standards.
- Expertise in using research-based intervention strategies.
- Knowledge of the State Curriculum Frameworks and Assessments.
Benefits
The position offers a salary of $50.00 per hour.

Schedule
- Work Schedule: 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, July 6, 2026 - July 30, 2026.
- Program Schedule: 8:00 AM to 1:45 PM, Monday through Thursday, July 6, 2026 - July 30, 2026.
