ML Event Utility Part-Time On Call $16 - $24/hr

About the role

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking team member to join our Banquet Utility team at Grand Casinos Mille Lacs/Hinckley Banquet. This role involves setting up and breaking down event spaces, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring everything is in place for smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables, chairs, staging, podiums, and other equipment for meetings and events
• Tear down event setups and restore rooms to standard layouts
• Maintain storage rooms, event equipment, and work areas in clean, organized condition
• Assist with bussing, dishwashing, and event cleanup as needed
• Follow room diagrams and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure accurate setup
• Report maintenance issues or equipment concerns to leadership promptly
• Support team members and Servers to ensure efficient event flow
• Complete assigned side work and cleaning tasks on time

Requirements

• One year of experience in hospitality, event setup, or utility support preferred
• Ability to read diagrams and follow setup instructions accurately
• Calm, reliable presence and a positive team attitude
• Must be able to secure a license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA)
• Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s)

Qualifications

• Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process
• Physical Requirements: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by Guest needs or event schedules. Will involve standing/walking for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs
