About the role

Entry-level position in the Mixing department. The Mixing Operator is responsible for operating Mixing and Granulation equipment in accordance with Company Standard Operating Procedures while maintaining 100% cGMP and compliance to ensure the production of quality products.

Responsibilities

  • Verify room release status before starting Mixing and Granulation operations.
  • Learn and operate Mills, Co-Mills, Vibro Sifter, and Loading/Unloading Drying Ovens with Trays.
  • Perform “A” and “B” cleaning of “V” blenders and PIAB:
    • “A” cleaning is performed twice or three times per month before changing to a different product or as required by SOP.
    • “B” cleaning takes one hour and is performed after each batch of the same product and potency in each shift.
  • Operate or tend machines to mix, blend, or granulate materials into machinery/equipment.
  • Observe production and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Verify weighing scales and check calibration status.
  • Check and verify ingredients weighed in Pharmacy against PBR entries; report any discrepancies to Supervisor or designee.
  • Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually or manually to ensure conformance with established standards.
  • Evaluate information to determine compliance with standards.
  • Record entries for each step after completion and maintain the Production batch record for each batch.
  • Keep the room neat, clean, and organized at all times.
  • Be familiar with the staging area for Mixing and Granulation for dispensed batches by Pharmacy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED (preferred).
  • 1 year or more of experience in Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing (preferred).
  • Intermediate proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
  • Intermediate high school-level math and mechanical skills.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours when required.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Successful completion of an OSHA-compliant Respirator Fit Test.

Pay

The hourly base salary for this position ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. Individual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, geographic location, and other relevant skills.
