Mitigation Technician

About the role
We keep our service technicians on track and motivated with a system composed of experience, training, testing, and 360 reviews that add structure, feedback, and motivation to stay on task.
Starting hourly rate: $18.00/hour with no experience. Increased starting wage will be considered for experienced candidates. With overtime pay and call-out bonuses, the average technician will earn $40,000 in their first year at UDK.
Requirements
- Great people skills — each customer is the boss, and we deliver exceptional service with no excuses
- Tenacity and grit — this job isn’t for the weak-minded or weak-stomached; we clean up what others can’t or won’t
- Endurance and strength — heavy lifting and high exertion; must be fit and able to keep up throughout long workdays, often into the night
- Ability to work 50 hours per week
- Clean-cut and tobacco-free appearance
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record — must be able to arrive at the UDK facility within 30 minutes of being called, day or night
Schedule
- Disasters are never scheduled, so flexibility is required, including working into the night when necessary
- Minimum of eight 24-hour on-call shifts each month (could be more depending on customer needs)
Pay
- Starting hourly rate: $18.00/hour (higher for experienced candidates)
- Overtime pay and call-out bonuses ($30–$60 per incident, depending on the day of the week)
- Average first-year earnings: $40,000
