Missionary Houseparent - Mauldin, SC
About the role
Connie Maxwell Children's Ministries is seeking Christ-centered individuals or married couples to serve as Houseparents. In this role, you will provide the overall safety, care, and nurturing of children while maintaining cottage routines at our Marie Younts Girls' Home in Mauldin, South Carolina. This location is an extension of our main campus in Greenwood, SC, and provides residential care for up to six girls.
Responsibilities
- Meal preparation
- Transportation to and from school and appointments
- Daily chores and life skills training
- Extracurricular activities and schoolwork supervision
- Personal hygiene guidance
- Appropriate discipline and guidance
- Leading Bible devotions
- Collaborating with a support team including campus Houseparents, an on-site Campus Administrator, and community partners
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children or in a childcare field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass extensive background screenings
Schedule
Flexible schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off, residing in the cottage full-time while on shift.
Pay
Competitive salary with a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

The girls at the Marie Younts Girls' Home attend Mauldin High School and are active in a local South Carolina Baptist Church, participating in Bible study, worship, and missions.
