About the role

This position is located in the DEA, New Jersey Field Division. This position's primary purpose is to assist leadership in the performance of administrative, human resource liaison, internal control, logistics to include fleet, personal property (accountable and non-accountable) and supply management, quality assurance, Records Management, and Task for Officer (TFO) Management.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing electronic files and databases, composing correspondence, and assisting with the preparation of reports and briefings on special projects.
  • Preparing requests for personnel actions (also known as SF-52s, RPAs, or PARs), working closely with Headquarters Human Resources Specialist(s) and Management within the Division.
  • Researching and resolving general issues related to employee pay and leave.
  • Performing vehicle management, including ensuring timely maintenance, service, repairs, supplement equipment, and documentation.
  • Conducting periodic inventory of equipment and property utilization.
  • Establishing, maintaining, purging, and disposing of office records/files in accordance with regulations and procedures.
  • Completing routine logistics functions to include supply management, inventory management, accountable property management, facility management, and transportation and fleet management/maintenance.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Employment is subject to the successful completion of a background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Must meet the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of the announcement.
  • To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Qualifications

  • For the GS-09 grade level: Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent in difficulty and complexity to work performed at the GS-07 grade level.
  • For the GS-11 grade level: Have at least one full year of qualifying specialized experience that is at least equivalent in difficulty and complexity to work performed at the GS-09 grade level.

Education

  • Have a Master's or equivalent graduate degree -or- two (2) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
  • Have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree -or- three (3) full academic years of graduate level education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related.

  • Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the education requirements if you can show that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
