Job Summary

HDR is seeking a Project Manager with expertise in client development and front-end due diligence and planning for data center projects. The ideal candidate will manage and deliver projects, develop and secure work from a global client base, and expand HDR’s reputation in TMT markets.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage all aspects of due diligence and front-end planning projects for Data Centers, including potential involvement in Semiconductor, Industrial, and Infrastructure projects.
  • Manage and lead multi-disciplinary project teams consisting of engineers, scientists, and specialists to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Control project budget, scope, and schedule, ensuring product deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Forecasting, invoicing, and contract management.
  • Promote HDR through regular client interface, mission critical staff recruiting, and vital proposal content creation.
  • Lead HDR at interview presentations, participate in project pursuits, and develop project scope.
  • Independently coordinate work of professional staff of architects and engineers, establish client relations, and engage in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
  • Conduct work sessions for design development and contract document coordination with multidisciplinary staff, coordinate workload through project development, and ensure completion of documents on schedule.
  • Track financial aspects of projects, coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure work is completed within agreed-upon schedule, and facilitate/participate in project reviews with accounting and technical team management.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture
  • Professional Engineer or Licensed Project Management Professional certification
  • 7 years related experience
  • 10-30% travel to project sites and client meetings, including international if needed
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in HDR’s employee-owned culture
