Job Summary

HDR is seeking a Project Manager with expertise in client development and front-end due diligence and planning for data center projects. The role involves managing and delivering projects, securing work from a global client base, and promoting HDR.

About the Role

This position is part of one of the largest and fastest-growing TMT practices in the industry. It requires a proven track record in delivering various data center and mission-critical projects, strong organizational skills, and the ability to interact with diverse design teams.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage all aspects of due diligence and front-end planning projects for Data Centers, potentially expanding to Semiconductor, Industrial, and Infrastructure projects.
  • Manage and lead multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Control project budget, scope, and schedule, ensuring product deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Forecast, invoice, and manage contracts.
  • Promote HDR through regular client interactions.
  • Create vital proposal content, including scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Lead HDR at interview presentations.
  • Work cooperatively with local office leads, other business group leads, technical directors, and marketing managers.
  • Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for compliance.
  • Coordinate workload through project development and ensure completion of documents on schedule.
  • Track financial aspects of projects and adjust work effort with the team to ensure work is completed within agreed-upon schedules.
  • Facilitate/participate in project reviews in collaboration with Accounting and technical team management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture.
  • Professional Engineer or Licensed Project Management Professional certification.
  • 7 years related experience, including 2 years of project management experience.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in managing multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and client interaction skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
