Position Overview

Walk-ins welcome! Go to the Travel Center at 3065 220th St, Williams, IA 50271 for an onsite interview during normal business hours. Miss J's Cafe is the signature quick-service restaurant inside LV Petroleum Travel Centers. We serve fresh, made-to-order breakfast, lunch, and dinner favorites to professional drivers, travelers, and local guests in a fast-paced, friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and ensure orders are prepared and delivered promptly.
• Prepare menu items including sandwiches, salads, soups, and daily specials according to Miss J's Café standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (grills, ovens, blenders, toasters, etc.).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area, including dining room, kitchen, and restrooms.
• Handle cash and payments accurately while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
• Absorb and assist with stocking, inventory, and receiving deliveries.
• Work cooperatively with the team to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies at all times.

Requirements

• Previous customer service or food service experience is a plus, but not required — we will train motivated candidates.
• Positive, friendly attitude with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for cash handling.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
