About the role
Endeavor Health (formerly NorthShore University Healthsystem), a major teaching hospital of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, is seeking a distinguished board-certified Minimally Invasive Surgeon in the Department of Surgery, Division of Gastrointestinal and General Surgery. The successful candidate will join a team of 27 physicians in the multispecialty Division of General Surgery, specifically with six surgeons dedicated to minimally invasive surgery. The division also includes fellowship-trained surgeons in colorectal, acute care/trauma, and hepatobiliary subspecialties with access to state-of-the-art robotic-assisted surgery using the da Vinci Surgical System.
The faculty oversee residency and fellowship programs through the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Prospective candidates will be considered for appointment at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine at the rank of Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor.
Requirements
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Board Eligible in General Surgery
- Completed training in general surgery and subsequent fellowship in Minimally Invasive/Foregut/Bariatric Surgery
- Demonstrated track record of clinical excellence and scholarly activities with achievements in basic or clinical research
- Demonstrated ability to develop research programs (strongly preferred)
