Duties And Responsibilities
- Creating, processing, and tracking purchase orders for materials and services, including but not limited to: Aircraft Parts and Components, Shop Supplies and Consumables, Tooling and Equipment, Vendor Services
- Cooking with vendors to obtain quotes, confirm pricing, and ensure on-time delivery
- Maintaining organized records of purchasing and receiving activities
- Supporting inventory control through cycle counts and reconciliation efforts
- Coordinating with accounting to reconcile invoices, packing slips, and purchase orders
- Maintaining proper documentation, certification, and traceability of aviation parts (as applicable)
- Accurately entering receiving data into company systems and updating inventory records
- Managing returns, exchanges, and vendor discrepancies
- Supporting maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to ensure material availability
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Basic to Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills
- Strong Communication: Ability to work effectively with vendors and internal teams
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in purchasing, receiving, and documentation
- Adaptability: Managing shifting priorities and supply chain challenges
- Problem-Solving: Resolving discrepancies in orders, shipments, and invoices
- Collaboration: Working cross-functionally with multiple departments
- Time Management: Prioritizing purchasing and receiving activities effectively
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to support cost-effective purchasing decisions
- Organizational Skills: Maintaining structured procurement and receiving records
Skills And Abilities (Minimum)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- A minimum of one to two years of experience in purchasing, receiving, warehouse, or supply chain operations preferred
Education And/or Experience
- Familiarity with ERP systems, procurement software, or inventory management systems is preferred
- Experience in aviation, manufacturing, or regulated environments is preferred
Preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- US citizenship required
