Purchaser/Buyer

Responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
• Research potential vendors
• Purchase
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery
• Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
• Conduct market research to identify pricing trends
• Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices
• Prepare cost analyses
• Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts
• Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
• Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all materials arrive in good condition

Qualifications

• Self-motivated team player with a win-win approach toward suppliers
• Procurement experience for electronics components, mechanical parts, sheet metal, supplies, tools, and equipment
• Knowledge of supply chain procedures, metal fabrication methods, and QC procedures
• Good oral and written communication skills are essential
• AS or Bachelor’s degree in a science or technical field is a plus
• General US citizenship or green card required
• Avid self-learner, self-motivated, and team-oriented
• Ability to efficiently and effectively manage time and complete tasks
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail, motivated, self-reliant, and honest
