Minister to Students

About the Role

Eastside Baptist Church in Marianna, Florida is seeking a part-time youth minister with the hope that this position will become full-time in the future. A future full-time role may also include leadership in college and community outreach. The youth group currently consists of 10-15 youth on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, with great potential for growth. Eastside Baptist Church is a multigenerational congregation of 175-200 on Sunday mornings, with strong support for youth ministry.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, train, and supervise all activities of the student ministry (Grades 6-12).
• Develop a youth ministry rooted in making disciples who are fully prepared for the next phase of life.
• Work with other ministerial staff to shepherd the people of Eastside Baptist Church.
• Oversee the youth budget.
• Recruit and develop volunteers to serve in youth ministry.
• Collaborate with parents and volunteers to seek their support and involvement.
• Teach youth Sunday morning small group and lead Wednesday night youth time.

Requirements

• Passionate follower of Jesus Christ with a clear call/desire to work in youth ministry.
• Provide 3-5 references.
• Dedicate ample time to lead on Sundays and Wednesdays, including preparation for messages and lessons.
• Previous experience serving in youth ministry.
• Full agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
• Subject to a background and reference check.

Qualifications

• Some seminary training preferred.
• Some ministry experience preferred.
