About the role
Maintain all equipment in the plant and train lower-level maintenance personnel.
Responsibilities
- Use mechanical and power tools to repair mill equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Create and close work orders in the system
- Perform advanced maintenance on all equipment
- Train Level 1, 2, and 3 personnel on advanced maintenance
- Oversee project work effectively
- Read schematics and instruction manuals to make equipment repairs
- Perform alignments on equipment and precision measuring
- Welding and fabrication for repairs and installation of mill equipment
- Work on and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic units and devices
- Properly repair and install mechanical parts for equipment
- Operate forklift as required
- Follow all applicable safety rules
- Work regularly scheduled shifts and scheduled overtime as required
- Work as a relief operator
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Requirements
- Prior work experience as a millwright
- Welding skills
- Experience with acetylene/oxygen torch
- Wide range of mechanical skills and use of tools
- Proficient in alignment of equipment
- Forklift operation
Pay
Hourly rate of pay: $40.01
