The organization promotes a collaborative, respectful environment and encourages individuals seeking a stable career in the mechanical trades to apply.Role Description Millwright Journeypersons and Apprentices will work full time on-site in Worcester, MA, supporting the installation, alignment, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical systems. Daily tasks may include reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, using precision measuring tools, operating hand and power tools, and assisting with rigging, hoisting, and moving equipment. Journeypersons typically lead or coordinate work on pumps, conveyors, turbines, generators, and related systems, while Apprentices support tasks under supervision and participate in structured training to build skills and experience. All team members are expected to follow strict safety protocols, collaborate with other trades, and maintain accurate documentation of work performed. Work schedules may vary by project and can include overtime, weekend, or shift work as needed to meet employer and project requirements.Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude, including experience working with tools, machinery, and mechanical systems in industrial or construction environments.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals, and to follow detailed instructions and work plans.Knowledge of basic math, measurements, and layout techniques, with familiarity using precision instruments such as levels, dial indicators, and micrometers.Commitment to safety, including understanding of lockout/tagout procedures, fall protection, PPE use, and adherence to site safety rules.Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, standing for extended periods, and working in varying environmental conditions.Reliable transportation to job sites in and around New England and willingness to work varied shifts and overtime as project needs require.For Journeypersons: documented experience as a millwright or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program; for Apprentices: interest in learning the trade and ability to participate in formal training.High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional technical or vocational training in mechanical trades, industrial maintenance, or related fields is an asset.
