About the role

The Millwork Operator / Cabinet Maker is responsible for assembling wood parts and components according to detailed specifications and blueprints. This role requires attention to detail, quality workmanship, and effective teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble wood parts and components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery according to detailed specifications and blueprints.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, and production prints.
  • Inspect assembled products for defects or deviations from quality standards and report concerns to the quality team.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot assembly challenges and improve production processes.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Safely handle and move materials throughout the production area.
  • Assist with additional production or assembly tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic understanding of wood assembly techniques and tools preferred.
  • Previous cabinet making, woodworking, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working within industrial safety standards preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and maneuver wood parts safely.
