About the role
The Millwork Operator / Cabinet Maker is responsible for assembling wood parts and components according to detailed specifications and blueprints. This role requires attention to detail, quality workmanship, and effective teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Assemble wood parts and components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery according to detailed specifications and blueprints.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, and production prints.
- Inspect assembled products for defects or deviations from quality standards and report concerns to the quality team.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot assembly challenges and improve production processes.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Safely handle and move materials throughout the production area.
- Assist with additional production or assembly tasks as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic understanding of wood assembly techniques and tools preferred.
- Previous cabinet making, woodworking, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within industrial safety standards preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and maneuver wood parts safely.
