Responsibilities

  • Safely produce quality solid wood and veneered products using one of two Moulder machines, fulfilling customer orders, inventory, product samples, and prototypes.
  • Prioritize safety for yourself and all associates within the facility, maintaining a high attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
  • Oversee Moulder machine operations, ensuring safe work practices and a hazard-free environment.
  • Communicate effectively with the team to meet safety, quality, and delivery expectations.
  • Perform machine start-up, shut-down, and preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all paperwork associated with the Moulder machine.
  • Relay key information to the Production Supervisor and Team Leads in a timely manner.
  • Read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Requirements

  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated with good attendance.
  • Enjoys operating equipment and achieving production targets.
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot problems and make micro-adjustments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate safely and produce high-quality materials.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow Standard Work Sheets, Manufacturing Drawings, Routers, and Travelers.
  • Capable of starting up, shutting down, and adjusting machinery.
  • Retains information and follows instructions accurately.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.

Qualifications

  • Desired: Knowledge of wood products and finishing.
  • Desired: 1-3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Desired: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred Certifications: OSHA 10-hour training.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

  • Operates in a manufacturing setting with occasional hot/cold temperatures, uneven walking surfaces, cords, tools, and other obstacles.
  • Exposed to intermittent loud noises and dusty or dirty conditions.
  • Required PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other department-specific PPE.
  • Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Pay

  • Estimated base salary range: “x to X” per year, based on location, skills, expertise, and experience.
  • Sign-on bonus: $1,000 total ($500 at 3 months and $500 at 9 months of service).

Schedule

  • 1st shift: 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Thursday (4/10 schedule).
  • Overtime required on Fridays and Saturdays as needed.

Architectural Components Group, Inc. (ACGI) in Marshfield, Missouri, is one of twenty AWI plants in North America. Located in southwestern Missouri, Marshfield is within 3 hours of Tulsa, Kansas City, and St. Louis, and 30 minutes from Springfield. The area offers abundant outdoor opportunities, including eight large lakes within an hour’s drive and two smaller lakes within 30 minutes, ideal for fishing, boating, skiing, and sailing. Nearby hiking, biking, wildlife areas, and streams provide additional recreational options, including the Niangua and Compton Hollow Conservation Areas just outside the city.
