Millwork - Moulder Operator - 1st Shift Job

Primary location: Marshfield, Missouri. Relocation offered. Full-time position with no travel required.

About the role

As a Moulder Operator at Architectural Components Group, Inc. (ACGI), a subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries, you will safely produce quality solid-wood and veneered products using one of two Moulder machines. This role is key to fulfilling customer orders, inventory needs, product samples, and development prototypes while maintaining a strong focus on safety, detail, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate Moulder Machines safely, ensuring a secure work environment for all associates.
• Oversee machine start-up, shut-down, and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain high attention to detail, accuracy, and quality in all production tasks.
• Communicate effectively with the team to meet safety, quality, and delivery expectations.
• Complete and verify accuracy of all paperwork associated with the Moulder Machine.
• Relay key information to Production Supervisor and Team Leads in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot problems and make micro-adjustments to machinery as needed.
• Follow Standard Work Sheets, Manufacturing Drawings, Routers, and Travelers.
• Read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Requirements

• Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated with good attendance.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and make adjustments.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to interact well with others.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions and retain information.
• Must be able to start up, shut down, and adjust machinery.
• Ability to stand, walk, use hands, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision with ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of wood products and finishing is a plus.
• OSHA 10-hour training preferred.

• Multitasking in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and precision adjustments.
• Reading and interpreting technical documents (e.g., Standard Work Sheets, Manufacturing Drawings).

Pay

The estimated base salary range for this role is competitive and based on location, skills, expertise, and experience.

Schedule

• 1st shift: 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Thursday (4/10 schedule).
• Overtime on Fridays and Saturdays as needed.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing setting with occasional hot/cold temperatures, uneven walking surfaces, and intermittent loud noises.
• Required PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other department-specific PPE.
• Plant environment may include dusty or dirty conditions.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Located in Marshfield, Missouri, this facility is within 3 hours of Tulsa, Kansas City, and St. Louis, and 30 minutes from Springfield.
