Mill Technical Manager

Responsibilities

• Review and report daily results, progress toward goals, issues, concerns of the Technical Dept.
• Develop and review the management plan and results for the Environmental Group; ensure daily environmental compliance and reporting.
• Develop and review the management plan and results for the Quality Group; ensure product meets customer expectations.
• Create the departmental budgets; quarterly, monthly, and weekly forecasts, and approve purchase requisitions; manage cost to meet budget and forecasted expectations.
• Work with the Quality Group and Operation Departments to develop root cause and corrective actions for customer complaints; visit customers as needed to collect information and maintain good customer relations.
• Cook up and encourage project identification, project execution and project review of Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated experience (10+ years) delivering comparable scope and complexity in a papermill.
• Leadership experience in a paper mill environment required.
