Mill Operator - 2nd shift

About the role

We are seeking Mill Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. We will train the right candidate to operate a Mill Machine and on TPM activities.

Responsibilities

• Run batches of ink at proper mill settings.
• Packaging/canning finished product in various containers and applying labels.
• Cleaning and maintaining the machine to TPM Standards.
• Learning and applying TPM knowledge to daily activities.
• Operating Hockmeyer mills at optimum OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) standards.
• Creating and maintaining a database of all existing formulas including processing times.
• Operating the following: Press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift.
• Acting as a Quality Control liaison, providing ink samples, making ink adjustments, and recording data.
• Completing scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
• Helping with repacks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (desired).
• 3 months of work-related experience.
• Good math and basic computer skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Reliable to work assigned shifts.
• Flexible to work overtime as required.
• Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background.
• Able to perform an active role with any multi-disciplinary teams.
• Good attendance and punctuality.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. as required.
