Milk Receiver Nights

Responsible for testing and unloading all raw milk received, including cleaning and sanitation of raw milk equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform all pre-unloading tests required.
• Unload and keep records of all incoming milk.
• Obtain and maintain all required licenses needed to perform job.
• Clean, both manually and by CIP (Clean in Place).
• Operate screening equipment to test bacteria and DMC.
• Positively represent GLC to milk suppliers.
• Maintain general housekeeping of work area.
• Report any problems with operation of equipment to Supervisor.
• Adhere to stated safety policies and procedures.
• Produce products in a manner that exceeds quality and value expectations by following Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies, and Procedures outlined in the Safe Quality Food Program.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to make minor decisions based on standard practices.
• Ability to read and prepare production reports and comprehend production worksheets.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Ability to communicate with line personnel regarding quality and safety issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• SAP experience.
• Lab experience.

Working Conditions

• Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend neck; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with left/right hands.
• Ability to frequently handle material from floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder, and perform pushing/pulling/carrying.
• Repetitive work in a fast-paced production environment with average temperature of 50-60 degrees F.
• Use of motor skills to safely drive tow motors or other motorized vehicles in tight quarters.

Pay

$25.00 - $25.55 per hour. All offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees and certifications, and internal equity. This range is specific to New York and may not be applicable to other locations.
