Milk Intake Operator I
The Milk Intake Operator I serves as the initial point of contact for product arriving at the production facility and is responsible for coordinating incoming product, performing quality testing, and ensuring that processes are properly executed with appropriate documentation. Responsibilities
- Complete general cleaning of area, wash down bays, walls, and perform general cleaning as needed.
- Understand and comply with all Quality Assurance policies; immediately report any potential food safety issues to management.
- Clean lines, wash inside and outside of trucks.
- Load and unload trucks, weigh in and weigh out trucks.
- Assign trucks to appropriate intake and loading bays, track loads.
- Stock supplies, move valves, pipes, and hoses.
- Run and set up automated computerized cleaning systems.
- Connect proper piping and hoses to unload product from milk trucks and fill trucks with outgoing product.
- Operate truck scales from a computer to weigh total product being received and distributed.
- Track essential information of truck loads including product type, weight, and more.
- Conduct antibiotic tests to ensure quality of milk.
- Process purchasing and sales documents (bills of lading).
- Handle all equipment and product efficiently and safely.
- Cover call-ins and sick days to ensure the department is properly staffed.
- Sample liquid product and report components as needed to management.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and notify maintenance and management of issues needing repair or replacement.
- Attend all plant safety and quality review meetings.
- Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
- Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
- Support safety policies and programs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of Food Service, Food Plant, or Sanitation experience preferred.

Pay
Starting rate: $22.59/hour with two pay increases in the first year up to $1.00–$1.50. Shift differential and double time on Sundays.

Schedule
2/2/3 rotating 6-6 shifts: 1 month of days and 1 month of nights.
