Pay

Starting rate: $24.73 hourly. Two pay increases within a year, up to $1.00. Sunday double time.

Schedule

2-2-3 days, 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

The Intake Operator I position learns to receive milk from haulers and truckers, ensuring quality through samples, testing, and sanitation.

• Run antibiotic tests
• Wash tanks and silos
• Wash and unload milk trucks
• Wash product lines
• Process milk slips
• Perform RO readings
• Complete tasks on Master Sanitation Schedule
• Load whey/cream trucks
• Mix powder for production
• Wash RO/POL
• Wash Whey Separator
• Mix NFDM and WPC
• CIP lines
• Assist in training new employees as directed
• Attend meetings as directed
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices
• Follow safety protocols: stop unsafe acts, report hazards, and support safety policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Attention to detail, quality, and cleanliness
• Ability to follow one- or two-step verbal and written instructions
• Perform routine, repetitive tasks
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Basic computer skills for data input and retrieval
• Ability to read and follow documents and procedures (GLP, SOP, MSDS, GMP, test procedures, HACCP)
• Professional manner and constructive working relationships

Our Little Chute, WI, plant employs about 95 people and is a top manufacturer of IQF sticks for the appetizer industry. Adjacent is Simon’s Specialty Cheese store, a Wisconsin-themed retailer offering meats, cheese, clothing, and craft spirits. Agropur’s US operations produce 1 billion pounds of award-winning cheese annually, including over 20 varieties, along with whey protein and dry ingredients.
