Milk Receiving Operator

Darigold is seeking a motivated Milk Receiver to join our plant in Pasco, WA. As a member of the Operations team, this person should possess the desire and ability to contribute to the success of the plant. Our plants create nutritious products 24/7, 365 days a year—availability to work multiple shifts, including weekends and holidays, is a must! The ideal candidate excels in a fast‑paced environment, can handle multiple repetitive tasks, has strong attention to detail, and is committed to producing high‑quality product. The role involves both teamwork and independent work without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Receive and load all bulk milk and cream shipments efficiently and safely.
• Tend the milk receiving process from tanker to silo.
• Handle, move, connect, disconnect, clean, and inspect the receiving bay and associated equipment.
• Compute weights and measurements and record information related to amounts received.
• Perform CIP and sanitation of the intake area and silos; maintain organization of the work area; conduct ongoing cleaning and preventative maintenance in compliance with good manufacturing practices.
• Ensure appropriate handling of bulk milk product, verifying type and source farm/carrier of incoming raw product.
• Perform quality tests on raw milk in accordance with company or regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure tagging and identification notifications on tanks are correct and recorded properly.
• Maintain accurate documentation as required.
• Assist with training new personnel.
• Submit timely and accurate reports.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Follow all company safety, working, and Good Manufacturing Practice policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year production experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision in a fast‑paced environment.
• Availability for multiple shifts in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays.
• High attendance standards and ability to be trusted with high responsibility.
• Capability of heavy lifting (up to 55 pounds) and standing for extended periods; ability to stand/walk for twelve or more hours based on production finish.
• Ability to climb stairs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certifications in Receiving, Antibiotic Testing, CHARM testing, and any other regulatory agency requirements.

Nice to Have

• Previous dairy processing or food manufacturing experience.
• Ability to monitor several concurrent processes simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to complete multiple repetitive tasks, and commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment; mechanical skills desirable.
• Strong computer experience for reporting and HMI screen management.
• Ability to respond to variances in the process and to organize and analyze process problems.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Processes.

Pay

Starting salary $25.65 to $26.67 per hour.
