About the role

The Senior Military Planner at HDR will lead and plan medium to large size DoD planning and asset management projects globally. This role requires extensive experience in compliance document preparation, stakeholder coordination, strategic planning, and project programming.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and plans DoD planning and asset management projects.
  • Prepares, plans, and analyzes compliance documents.
  • Directs the work of others in completing required studies, documents, and reports.
  • Facilitates meetings, stakeholder coordination, and strategic planning.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders through effective communication.
  • Builds consensus and supports planning proposals.
  • Develops complete Installation, Area, and Component plans.
  • Develops a Capital Investment Strategy.
  • Prepares DD Form 1391.
  • Performs economic analyses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or closely related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in environmental consulting.
  • Advanced degree may offset years of experience.
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage in a team environment.
  • Motivated self-starter with business development skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.
  • AICP, RLA, PE, RA certification.
  • LEED AP or higher.
  • Knowledge of military installation and base operations.
  • Experience with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC).
  • Experience with business case analysis and development.

Pay

Compensation range depends on skills, experience, education, and geographical location. For example, in Colorado, the range is $103,740.00 - $148,200.00.

Schedule

This position requires the ability to travel overseas as needed.
