About the Role

UTI's Military Admissions Representatives work to change lives by connecting students with career training opportunities. In this remote position, you will operate within a designated geographical territory of military bases in the Anchorage, AK area, conducting career presentations, interviewing prospective students, and building relationships to help motivated individuals start their journey toward achieving their career dreams.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, extroverted, and skilled at engaging and motivating individuals. You should enjoy making connections, communicating effectively, and proactively establishing relationships while following established guidelines and procedures. This role requires independent work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, with the ability to prioritize schedules to maximize time.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with military bases, establishing rapport with military personnel to identify prospective students.
  • Adopt a consultative mindset to address potential students’ concerns and ensure they receive comprehensive information about Universal Technical Institute’s career opportunities.
  • Conduct follow-ups with potential students throughout the year.
  • Deliver educational and motivational presentations to encourage individuals to pursue higher education at Universal Technical Institute.
  • Utilize marketing and recruiting tools to promote Universal Technical Institute’s programs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Universal Technical Institute programs, financing options, and other relevant information to answer prospective student questions.
  • Maintain travel logs and reports to track visits and leads generated.
  • Adhere to all regulatory compliance criteria and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
  • Travel up to 50% overnight.

Requirements

  • High School degree or GED required.
  • Military experience and experience recruiting for the military required.
  • 2 years of sales experience preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, including Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and sales skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and ability to analyze and report data.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to build effective relationships, work independently, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a customer service attitude.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a territory effectively.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
