Admissions Representative

About the Role

The Admissions Representative provides customer service and information to prospective students interested in pursuing career education and training. This role involves conducting outbound and inbound communications, hosting campus tours, facilitating enrollments, and supporting students throughout their educational experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outbound and inbound telephone calls, texts, and emails; respond timely to all inquiries.
• Share information with prospective students within Ancora Education’s Code of Conduct and accreditation guidelines.
• Schedule campus visits, conduct tours, and facilitate registrations.
• Follow up with new students to ensure a positive transition to active student status.
• Contribute to team initiatives and collaborate with diverse groups of employees and customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years’ experience in sales and/or customer service.
• Strong presentation and computer software skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and industry-related applications).
• Ability to deliver consistent energy and enthusiasm, thrive in a coaching environment, and handle frequent interruptions.
• Proactive problem-solving, priority-setting, and independent work capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience in a high-volume customer service setting.
• Familiarity with CampusVue and/or Velocify software.

Physical Demands

The role requires occasional standing, walking, sitting, use of hands, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer are expected.

Work Environment

The work environment is typically indoors and not exposed to weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate.
