Genesis School is seeking exceptional educators to join a talented team that believes and demonstrates that every student can grow and succeed. Unlike many schools, we are not hiring because of high turnover. We are hiring for only two positions for the coming school year. • Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction.
• Build a classroom culture grounded in respect, responsibility, and high expectations.
• Use student data to plan, adjust, and personalize instruction.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Missouri Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for certification)
• Demonstrated commitment to student learning
• Preferred experience teaching upper elementary or middle school students
• Strong content knowledge in Mathematics or English Language Arts
• Experience using data to drive instruction
• Experience working with diverse learners
• Commitment to culturally responsive teaching practices

Compensation

Salary Range: $52,000-68,000 depending on experience. Opportunities for additional compensation through summer school or stipends.

We proudly serve a student body primarily composed of urban youth, many of whom live within three miles of our campus. We operate as a “functional reality” of the village concept, providing not just rigorous academics, but a safety net that includes embedded mental health services, counseling, and extensive before-and-after-school care.

While we serve a high-risk population, our focus is on growth for students and staff. We have been recognized among Kansas City charters for our academic improvement and student growth metrics. Since COVID, Genesis has achieved above-average student growth in both ELA and Mathematics and has reduced the percentage of students scoring Below Basic by double digits.
