Position Overview

The Middle School Lead Teacher will play a crucial role in providing a supportive and enriching educational experience for our students. This position involves leading classroom instruction, developing individualized lesson plans, and managing a classroom environment that fosters learning and personal growth. The Lead Teacher will collaborate closely with the school administration and a dedicated Teacher Aide(s) to ensure each student's academic and personal success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the diverse learning needs of students, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and technologies.
  • Provide targeted support to students with varying abilities, ensuring each student can achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive classroom environment, using effective behavior management strategies.
  • Collaborate with school administration, special education staff, and Teacher Aides to develop and execute comprehensive academic support plans.
  • Regularly assess and adjust instruction based on student progress, maintaining accurate records of attendance, grades, and reports.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay updated with the latest educational strategies.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field (REQUIRED).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years+ of teaching experience (REQUIRED).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years+ in special education (Preferred).
  • Certification: Valid Florida Teaching License and Certification (REQUIRED).

Skills

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Additional Requirements

  • Must have a current and valid driver's license,
  • be able to pass a Level 2 Background Clearance,
