About the role

This position is contracted for 182 days, including 166 days for student contact and 6 days for staff development.

Responsibilities

  • Answers phones and directs calls to the appropriate staff member.
  • Communicates pertinent information to parents, staff, and members of the community via phone, email, or mailings.
  • Initiates positive daily communication with students.
  • Greets visitors, students, parents, salespersons, teachers, and staff coming into the school and directs persons to the appropriate individuals.
  • Keeps accurate attendance records; enters student enrollment and demographic data; maintains student files.
  • Affords assistance with data entry, collection, and other tasks to the Dean of Students.
  • Compiles testing schedules, documents, and manages test completion.
  • Tracks revenues and prepares financial deposits.
  • Mails distribution.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of Infinite Campus.
  • Thorough knowledge of standard office equipment and office software.
  • Ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers, students, parents, and elected officials.

Education And Experience

  • High school diploma or GED and moderate experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent exertion of up to 10 pounds of force.
  • Sitting, speaking or hearing, using hands to move, handle or feel.
  • Frequent repetitive motions, occasionally lifting and standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
  • Reaching with hands and arms.
  • Pushing or pulling.
  • Closing vision, ability to adjust focus, depth perception, and color perception.
  • Vocal communication.
  • Hearing.
  • Preparing and analyzing written or computer data.
  • Observing general surroundings and activities.
  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and may require specialized personal protective equipment.
  • Exposure to bodily fluids.
  • Work is generally in a moderately noisy location.

  • Data Privacy Training.

Rate Of Pay

$20.22/hour per union contract.
