Middle School ELA and Social Studies Teacher, St. Joseph Issaquah

St. Joseph Parish School is located in both Issaquah, WA (preschool through 3rd grade) and Snoqualmie, WA (4th–8th grade). We have one class per grade with a total of 188 students. The mission of St. Joseph Parish School, in partnership with parents and the parish community, is to form the hearts and minds of children through the example of Jesus Christ.

About the Role

Teacher candidates will work in collaboration with our dynamic and engaging school staff. We are seeking a dedicated, mission-driven educator who is eager to be part of a supportive, faith-filled school community.

Responsibilities

• Teach ELA and Social Studies in Middle School
• Serve as a 7th grade homeroom teacher and member of a grade-level team
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse learner population
• Enjoy, appreciate, and understand the developmental nature of middle schoolers
• Actively collaborate with colleagues to design curriculum, assessment, and instructional practices in alignment with best practices to create innovative and equitable learning experiences for all students
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and school administrators
• Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction across core subject areas
• Create a positive, well-managed classroom rooted in respect and responsibility
• Integrate Catholic values into daily instruction and classroom culture
• Participate in professional development and contribute to the life of the school community

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field (required)
• Valid teaching credential or eligibility for certification
• Upper elementary teaching experience (preferred)
• Practicing Catholic
• Ability to integrate faith and values into instruction and school life
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively

Pay

The salary range for this position is from $58,000 to $87,000. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
