Social Studies & Religion Teacher - Middle School

Daily Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and interactive Social Studies & Religion lessons to middle school students
• Implement instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum aligned with Social Studies State Standards and Catholic Catechetical Formation Standards
• Conduct parent conferences to discuss student progress and development
• Utilize technology, such as SMART Board and Google Classroom, to enhance learning experiences
• Lead a Homeroom with 6th, 7th, or 8th Grade students

Required Skills

• Experience in small group instruction and differentiated instruction
• Strong communication skills for parent communication and conferences
• Knowledge of instructional strategies for middle school Social Studies State Standards and Catholic Catechetical Formation Standards
• Understanding of Social Studies State Standards and SEL development of middle school students
• Background in elementary education or early childhood education

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with Middle School Classroom and knowledge of high school requirements
• Experience with Project Based Learning or Individualized Education Program (IEP)
• Expertise in classroom management techniques

Pay and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $49,000 to $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, dental insurance, 403(b) retirement plan, medical flexible spending account, sick leave, and holiday pay.
