About the role
The Middle School Assistant Dean of Culture is responsible for fostering a positive school culture and ensuring that all students feel safe and supported.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance student engagement and academic success
- Maintain open communication with teachers, staff, and families to support student needs
- Facilitate community-building activities to strengthen relationships among students, staff, and families
- Monitor and address issues related to student behavior and social-emotional well-being
- Collaborate with other school leaders to develop and implement initiatives that promote cultural competency and inclusivity
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, sociology, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience working in a K-12 educational setting
- Experience in student support services, such as counseling or guidance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Knowledge of best practices in culturally responsive teaching and learning
- Experience with data-driven decision-making
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
