About the Role
The Associate Culture Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Culture Coordinator in establishing a positive, joyous, structured and achievement-oriented school culture.
Responsibilities
School Culture Support
- Support a school-wide discipline system with meaningful unearned/earned school-wide incentives and consequences
- Coordinate and support recognition assemblies, parent workshops, community events, and other culture-building activities
- Support teachers in building relationships with students and parents
- Refine systems to ensure all students have excellent attendance and arrive at school on time
- Ensure that the physical environment of the school reinforces school culture and facilitates student achievement
- Ensure effective field lessons, school events, and extracurricular activities
- Model core values and character strengths at all times
Student Management
- Assist the Culture Coordinator, teachers, students, and parents in the creation and implementation of support plans for at-risk students
- Reinforce the effective use of the school-wide behavior plan and any individual student behavior plans
- Support the implementation of Functional Behavioral Assessments and individual student behavior plans written by the School Behaviorist
- Monitor behavioral pull-out and in-school community infractions
- Maintain accurate student discipline records; document conferences, suspensions, and phone calls for behavior
- Communicate clearly and promptly with teachers, families, and students when discipline issues occur
- Manage data-collection systems related to student behavior, analyze data for trends, and implement response plans
- Respond to students who are in crisis and provide de-escalation strategies to students
Whole School Student Supports
- Supervise school entry, breakfast, lunch, transitions, and reflection to ensure they are orderly and positive
- Ensure a safe arrival and dismissal and complete arrival and dismissal duties
- Cover duties as needed
- Provide classroom support as needed
- Perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent credit attainment required; Bachelor's or advanced degree preferred
- At least three years of school based experience with a proven record of high achievement and strong classroom management and culture
- Experience working in an educationally under-resourced community
- Pass Criminal Background Check
- Demonstrated success in raising the achievement levels of traditionally under-served students (Highly Preferred)

Pay
$50,000 - $54,000
